This is a tidal river at low tide. The clouds overhead were more numerous and created a dappled effect. Some areas in direct sunlight and some not , thus the brighter spots.

Tom, the sun and the clouds were performing a play of light and shadows, giving this area a special effect, perfectly seen and captured by you.
