Apophysis 2.06c beta. This is my entry for Les's first set of parameters in the Apophysis Challenge. The first time I rendered this one it was far too bright and the pink areas had burned out into white. I turned down the brightness and the gamma before the next couple of renders; I didn't get the hang of 'postprocess render', sorry Les. I'll look into that again later.

For these parameters there were no variations, scripts or mutations used. Along with the Apop editing, all I did was change the gradient to one based on my Misty Blossom Spider... he might be lurking in there somewhere, not that I invited him in. He just loves fractal flies, and I can't stop him going anywhere he wants to on Caedes. Oh, and then I had to do some work in Photoshop Elements to brighten the image a little, otherwise it would have been quite a bit dimmer.

PS: I was in such a hurry to get this uploaded I didn't realize it wasn't 24 hours after my last upload yet. Drums fingers impatiently. Never mind - can just go and make more wallpapers...

Really beautifully 'soft' Tootles.

That is the operative word in my mind as a descriptor for your flame here.

I like how you expanded the flame to fill in the frame. And your change of colour gradients does enhance the feel and mood of your piece.

Well done ... and thanks for showing, yet again ... another glimpse at the versatility of the program. :o)

It is rather astounding that 'we' all started ... more or 'les's :oP ... at the same place and arrived at some very unique and creative places with the originating parameters.

This is a delightfully soft, feminine image :) I love how delicate it is...I fell as though I can reach out and touch it.....I have saved this to my favorites. Thanks so much for sharing this with me ;=)

Perfect title, Tootles, and indeed a beautiful and dreamy "star" flame! Well done! :)

When I need to brighten up a flame, I use Photofiltre . It's a small and free editor, that may be of interest to you.
