Deep pink cosmos flowers in Botanic Gardens, taken on Tuesday.

Some adjustments made in Photoshop CS5. I tried to find the white balance using these instructions, but didn't like the result. Toned it down a lot, going back to fresher greens and deeper pinks.

Canon 350D, Canon zoom lens EF-S 55-250 IS.

Sandra, this perfect floral composition with wonderful tones make it to a wonderful Foofy Friday contribution.
Very good one!

PS: I've read your narrative of course, ☺ . I don't know whether this was an initial RAW or JP(E)G image. I always choose for RAW. In order to convert it to a to Caedes uploadable image, I'm forced to edit it with a RAW image editor (integrated in PS) .
The RAW image editor has perfect possibilities/tools to manage the 'white 'balance', shadow', 'higlights', 'brightness', 'contrast', and so on.
By using it, think it will resolve your problem.

Thanks, C -- I was (hem) too lazy to edit the Raw file... I will try it and see if I get a better result. :-)
