I think it does fit the Negative Space contest, too. Hungary, Nikon D40.

What do you think? Shall I change my contest entry 'Nippon'? Which one fits better the contest? Many thanks for any suggestions.

Many thanks for helping me in the decision. I changed the contest entries. I think it highlights negative space better than Nippon.

That bench looks a little chilly to be sitting on, burr. Wonderful winter capture again Tibi.

Tibor, I wouldn't have any doubts. Your Nippon post is an excellent one, but from the 'negative space' point of view, to me, this one is even better, but it's your image and you have to take the decision by yourself.

Simple & effective. A perfect choice for the 'negative space' contest though your other entry is very good also. If I had to choose between the two it would be this image. I'd say this one has more impact with the B & W contrasts & snowy textures on the bench. I like the bit of color on the bench too. I also get a sense of loneliness when looking at this scene. I don't want to sway you one way or another ... like I said before they are both exceptionally great & I'm only giving my own point of view.

Outstanding work + faves!

I think it nicely fits the negative space theme too but wouldn't want to suggest a change...I'm having a hard enough time deciding on my own entry, lol...and your current entry has been well received...either way, I really like the starkness and simplicity of this one.

Absolutely no question about it this is definitely fit to be your entry Tibi! This is absolutely stunning. It's going to my favorites immediately. The white of the snow around the bench is perfect and highlights the subject beautifully. Your presentation and framing is quite appropriate and works very well here.

Before I even viewed this full size I was blown away by the pure, simple beauty of this. Regardless of whether or not you switch your entry this goes down in my mind as one of your best shots to date.

I think you had a good thing going with Nippon, but this is lovely too. It would be difficult for me to choose too.

A good example that negative space doesn't have to be darkness. Your eye roams the featureless space as much as it it drawn to the object. I love Nippon, its a beautiful shot and maybe a better image, but for the subject of this contest and its parameters this one is the better entry
