A few years ago, I was in the midst of cooking and I liked the image of this tiny red pepper that I was using in the recipe. What surprised me after I viewed this photo, was the image of the shadow in the little dish ... kind of odd. Thanks for viewing, appreciate it.

Yes, if you see the shadow as a profile, possibly of a man, and you see the white plate being that of the moon, you just may have a created a metaphor of the "man in the moon." Yours, of course, with a certain dietary desire for red peppers!

Vicki, I see in the shadow, probably due to my vivid imagination, the silhouette of a gnome. It's remarkable to me that you noticed this 'apparition' and took an original and funny capture of it. To me a proof that it's not primarily the camera that takes the photograph, but the keen eyes of the photographer. You are gifted with the latter.
