It's beautiful, Wendy. I find the lamp a bit disconcerting. I imagine it was meant to provide depth, but the picture, is stand alone, without it, or better yet, clone in around the flame, to minimize it. Just gorgeous

This is a superbly interesting production. The coloration is warm and inviting. The scene is well composed and the individual elements are intriguing. This is the kind of image that draws and holds interest for extended viewing. Well done! anne

BRAVO Wen!!! I love this scene! The sky is absolutely gorgeous and I agree with Sarah - I just watched "Man From Snowy River" the other night and this really does remind me of the scenery from that film. This is truly magnificant!!!! Vicky

I find that computer crafted landscapes are usually disappointing because my favorite computer games are the Myst series and the graphics in those are as good as they come. So I usually don't score these very high . . . until this one. I find the lack of shadows (however dim they might be) under the horses and the oversized lamp on the right takes only a small amount away from the overall quality of your piece, particularly that tree. That's a great tree. Keep at it and I may be playing your game someday.

It is a very good composition. Very dreamy and beautiful. To mkae it even better I would either reduce the size of the lantern on the left or eliminate it. It is so "close" it distracts from the other parts of your creation.

Actually, all three lanterns are the same size....they are simply different distances from the rest of the scene. The "closest" lantern is intended to add perspective and suggest another building off camera to complete the "outpost." I may do a variation of this scene focusing on the tree. Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions! Wen

Really well done. The most beautiful thing I found about this work is the theme and the coloring - the beautiful sky (which is probably what catches anyone's eye in the first place), the silhoutte of the tree, the big lamp on the left and the horse just under the tree bending over to relax in the dusk after a hard day at work. Maybe, if you had left out the other two lamps, it would have looked even better. Although, it's not that realistic, it's still well presented.

I like this version a lot, I must say. . It's not really a scene I can easily relate to, but it is a great desktop nonetheless.
