Wow...I hope you have more than one computer!! Or perhaps yours is powerful enough to multitask on even such a complex job as this. It was certainly worth the time that went into it. I just love the way the light, shadow and trees are handled here. I feel like I should write a missive since it took you so long to create, but this note will have to suffice, and I'll stick it in my renders fave file..thanks, Wendy :)

I realy like the depth of the this image the colors stand out real well did you mean to produce the human figure in the pond reflection of the trees. or was it a mishape that worked out
Wow, what a magnificent rendering! It have been worth the time you spent on it, its result is so beautiful!
The light and shadow effects are just gorgeous, making it seem something as a dreamy wonderland!! color of trees fits perfect also! fav, sure! :D
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all.

Stunning Wendy! THose colours in the trees are outstanding and the sky is perfect. This looks very, very realistic. Great work. To think I complain when a render takes 3hrs,you got great patience as well Wendy.
Hi Wen
It's been a while since Your last upload, and now I can see why, and it's been worth the wait !! Beautiful, and stunning are words that come to mind. Have You heard of a uploaders website called "Artnutz" this is a place where Your work will shine brightly.

Lovely work. Very impressive. I can't imagine tying my computer up for that long but, as phasmid said, maybe you have another or one good at multi-tasking. Terrific results, though. It's the trees I really like in this - such beautiful colours and fabulous details. I also especially like the hills in the distance on the right hand side and the way the horizon seems lost in a haze of mist.
The shape of the water looks slightly angular to me, but this is a very minor point which I hardly dare mention given the render time, in any case. (Also, nobody else mentioned it, so it is likely my eyes!)
It's the colours and light that make this so special, I think. The angle of the light seems simply perfect for the landscape you've created here. It looks beautiful without looking artificially perfect - the clouds suggest their might be rain soon, for example.
I also like the sense that (I think) the camera is located under a tree - you can see the fallen blossom (?) and the shadow. I don't know why, but it makes me feel more included in the place somehow.
I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Please understand that a failure to reciprocate in kind indicates a lack of appreciation for neither gesture nor work.
OK Wendy....
Stunning, just doesen't even come close to discribing this Image.

I have to ask. Is that sky Rendered or "maniped"?
Only thing I'd "wonder" about is the "reflection" of the trees in the "water" in the front.
Personally, I'd have done some "clone work" to eliminate those damn "Straight lines".
Whatever....
Stunning Render and definately a Fav!!

Wendy, I am so taken by Reflecting on Shadows. The colors and composiion are terrific. It is my current wall paper. Thank you for such a wonderful work.
Very, very nice Wendy - the trees & sky are terrific. I wish you'd used a procedural terrain, but that's just my taste. The long render times are really a drag and must be a consequence of the more realistic modeling used for spectral atmospheres. I frequently run week long renders (or longer) and it can seriously impact creativity. Anyway, keep up the great work.
