Tropical Farms is a our family's Mac Nut farm, which is on sacred land which includes Kamehameha's Fish Pond (aka Menehune Pond), this is an image from the shop's front door looking out to the Ko'olau. Hawaiian musicians often sing of Ko'olau as it is a sacred place. The Mac Farm is about 20 minutes from Kaneohe heading toward Haleiewa. Jurassic Park was filmed using the Ko'olau's as a backdrop, as well as a handfull of other films. This is the first in a series of shots I will be posting from my trip back home. I will start of my series by dedicating it to my dear friends who saw me through my cancer treatments with much love and humor...so here's to the girls, who are as lovely as these mountains...and Smurf Solidarity.

Jenn, this is amazing. I just love the Ko'olau Mountains and when I visit my friend in Kaneohe we spend a lot of time looking at them. They are mezmerizing. You've captured a wonderful view of them with lovely composition and lighting. Excellent post and thanks for sharing this and bringing back good memories.
