One of my favorite churches in Pittsburgh has beautiful stone work. Like this bench tucked into the wall. I think stillness speaks here. (just added: In honor of 3 City of Pittsburgh Policemen who lost their lives in the line of duty this morning.Thoughts and prayers for the families in this time of grief)

The B/W image gives it a sort of ancient look which adds to that feeling of tranquility. Good shot, Ami.

Let me know when services start, but only if they have an elevator. LOL. Nice Black and white, Ami. You are right, stillness speaks.

How sad about the policemen Ami. I like the somber look you presented in their honor. A silent prayer within your shot. Nice tribute.

First of all my condolences go out to the fine officers who died in the line of duty. No doubt protecting the public. Next I faved the post. I love the effects you used. It really shows the fine stone work done here.

There is something about "good bones" in a picture that is so emphasized by black and white. In color, I might not have noticed the textures of the brick and stairs, and may have gotten lost in the curved and molded railings instead. This is wonderful design and expresses strength and compassion in the combination of rugged textures and curving lines.

B/W seems perfect for this. Adding to the mood and details of the stone work. I especially enjoy the lines and varied textures. A wonderful sentiment.
