This was taken about a month ago~the Japenese beetles were out in full force and everyone had there beetle traps out! Don't know why the population has increased so much.

Oh my Ami, I don't think we had that problem up here. Looks like he's on a magnolia blossom. Lovely shot but this bad pest, hope you all got them under control.

A good shot of the nasty beetle on a magnolia, Ami. I hope you shot him with some bug spray after the photo shoot. Well done.

They can be pests when they come out in force Ami. The best way to get rid of them is to make a mixture of dawn soap and water and then spray them. I guess they don't like to be clean. Excellent work.

I suppose that has something to do with the climate change. These ticks carry disease and are really a danger to mankind as you mentioned. Nice image Ami.
