A different view of Centralia. This was one of the main streets of the town. You can see the in the distance the other roads that homes once stood.

It is sad to see things die. Towns included. Good post to make us think Adrienne. Here is a link I found very interesting explaining about the demise of Centralia. There is also a link to Times Beach a town in Missouri that was evacuated in the 1980's.

Again so sad! There was some beautiful old homes here at one point. All of it gone! I think your shot really captures the feeling of loss well.

I can remember a few years back when I first heard of the Centralia fire--I could scarcely believe what happened there. How lucky you are to get to visit, and of course share your pictures with us. Thank you!
