Was thinking of cropping out part of the water at the bottom. Yes or no?

The contrast of that bird among the marsh grasses is very good. He is kind of hunkered down! Nice job on this one.

A great capture Adrienne. I like the way he is hunkered down. He looks good among the water and the grasses. Makes me think of the Novel "No Bird Is An Island." Or was it Man? :)

This has got a real mood to it, Adrienne - the heron's hunched determination on that little, stubbly islet, the dry reeds bristling all around the dark water. I'd favor the bottom crop, yes, mainly because the silvery quality of the water therer is crosswise with the mood of the piece.

Adienne, it does look so cold. I like the bottom water. It gives you more color.

Personally, I think it's a great shot as it is. I might try cropping out as much as possible for another post. It just all depends how clear you can keep the image, without noise too. Very nice work, Adrienne.

I think this is better, the bird in it's beautiful nature. Otherwise you loose to much quality wit cropping. I like this photo like you have done here! : ) Mich

No need of cropping Adrienne. The water actually adds value to the title you have set. The bird stands out among the dry grass. Good job

Nice picture. I wouldn't crop it, the emptiness either side maintains a sense of loneliness surrounding the bird.
