A lobster boat tied up waiting for high tide in the small river that feeds into the harbour at Staithes, Yorkshire. Small boats like this provide most of the shellfish that finds its way onto the table here, and I have to admire the men who sail them as they are out on the sea in all weathers.

There is a lot to see in this one...from the bluff on the back (must be fairly rugged country) to the stacked houses on the left and finally to the two boats with the wind blowing the water surface. Cold, windy, rugged...probably just like the fishermen!

A very good image.a real story-teller and I like its richness of colour and the boats add that extra something....take them away and ????

Well composed and the HDR makes it seem so real.

A nicely composed scene and good capture of the fishing boat and village. Lovely colours and textures in the scene.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
