They have made it through another year. Now they have journeyed that long way to get to the nesting fields. When they meet for the first time the perfect synchronized ritual of pairing off for life begins. Two exotic birds are ready for another kind of journey together forever.

A fine image Frank - I especially like the shadow effect. On the waiting list for the BWC - many thanks.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

They look like a cross between musical notes and a heart symbol. I bet they will make great music together Frank.
A very good creation and a wonderful one for the b/w challenge.

I really like this, Frank! The facial expressions, body shadings, body shapes, fringe plumage, and long legs are fantastic!!

I'm curious, did you do this in color, but present it in b&w for the contest? If so, I would also enjoy seeing the color version.

This is quite impressive, the simplicity speaks volumes, the creation and intuitive imagination is superb. I am even impressed by the exotic bird on the right side, it looks like he is looking at us. Great work!
