Terrific illustration, Frank...Silent Night is one of my favorite carols too...have a wonderful Christmas.

Frank, I think that only a few people know that the Christmas carol 'Silent Night' comes original from Austria.
In the German language (In Austria the major language is German) its name is 'Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht'. The lyrics was written more than 200 years ago (in 1816) in the Salzburg Lungau region, at Mariapfarr, the hometown of the father of the writer of this carol, the schoolmaster and organist Franz Xaver Gruber.
The music was composed in 1818 by the Catholic priest Joseph Mohr. The first performance was at Christmas day in 1818 in the St Nicolas church in Oberndorf (a small village near the city of Salzburg).
The carol became very popular and was spread out over the years in many languages throughout the whole world. The first performance in the USA was in 1839 in New York.
Your contribution would have been an excellent representation for the SNATM-theme (🎥) . The movie is The Legend of Silent Night (1968) . An other possibility would be this one !

PS: by checking-out the first link one can read that the carol was written in 1810. A minor mistake as it was written in 1816 indeed!
