I checked out both your your Caedes Cadre postings today. The battery shot was funny, but I'm so far behind on my comments that I'll concentrate on this posting. For the time being, I only have time for critiquing one shot per friend per day.
I love this shot. At first I was going to make a comment about there being no singular point of interest. Then I decided to look at the shot and noticed the placement of the fern.
This really is a fascinating display of Mother Nature at her most interesting. I had no idea that ferns could survive such hostile climates. Beautiful colors and sharply focused, this one's a beauty of a desktop shot. My only complaint, and it's very minor, is that weirdness that comes in a wide angle shot when the icicles on the left appear to be hanging leftwards. Since I also hang leftwards, I'll call this my shot of the day.
Frozen tears also got me thinking of the very frigid temps in Europe right now and quite a number of homeless people found dead in Eastern Europe. That fits the title. Tom
What a beauty - and quite an amazing image. My ferns (same as those ones) pack up and die at the first frost! Those lower fronds have done the same but the rest are bravely standing there. Lovely contrast of the tropical greens and cold icicle tears.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Nothing of this kind over here - far too cold... Last night has been the record = -22 degrees C. In Szczecin = nearby the seacoast. *wowowow* Lovely. Yours SAM
