St. John the Baptist Church, Ulgham, Northumberland.. Just uploading this to see if anyone can pronounce the name of this village."Not you Bob as you know it"..I will Answer tonight. No prizes for getting it right..R.
Having been used to tough German words I'll have no problem pronouncing it as algam. uljam or whatever Richie. Nice shot of the church from this angle.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
I saw that Google and LE pronounced it the same way Count B. You can't run or hide in this little world anymore. Good photo of the church and good use of title.
We have surveillance drones all over the world, Richie. Did you really think you could get away with this one? It's Uffam according to Google (who knows all). I once had a truck driver ask me the way to One CO. I told him I had no idea until it struck me that he was actually looking for a town called Oneco (O-knee-co).
That's easy, Richie. I read the Hobbit and the entire Tolkien trilogy every summer for years. This is the way you Brits pronounce Gollum. By the way, they misspelled it.
I can barley get my tongue around saying Rickshie!...
A wee tad bluey on the tiles..but a good anglr for this
