Good composition for the main subject of the flower. Very nice depth of focus and fine details. Lighting sets the colors a bit dull but no part of the photo is washed out this way. Maybe a bit of contrast would be better. For your main topic behind your shot, as the comparison of old and new, your old one seems so much out of sight and interest. Thus your photo becomes a single flower photo. Don't worry, this is also beautiful.
