On the guardrail support by the Yukon River. On the way to town, me I mean. Taken with my Canon S90 ... a little soft, 'cause I was so excited to get so close I wasn't too steady. Actually, the best place to find these are at the city dump, but it's too far for me to walk. I cheated, with the catch-light ... just makes it look more alive.I hope no one minds.

A little soft but all the same a very good image because it is rare to see them sitting about like this. Seeing those claws and that beak I think I also wouldn't get closer, Winona.

If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why practice?
I don't call it cheating. I call it enhancing. To put something in, is no different than cloning something out, the way I see it. Maybe a touch soft, but this is a fantastic capture of that mean lookin' bird. I like the lighting in the background. Very nice, Winona.

Nice shot, it is a little soft, I used "unharp mask" on your shot on my pc and it really cleared up the softness well, you can also back light it with the program "photoscape' to bring out the feathers. once a again a good shot that would be great with a little touch up.

Jims is right about the unsharp mask and the back lighting Winona. I would have been overly excited as well. Great post.

Soon trying these suggestions. Most times I find with the Unsharp Mask it does very little, but maybe it could be the user's fault. Thanks for the suggestions ... I usually need all the help I can get.
