A nice rework of Goya's masterpiece. I like the colours in the background and the expression in the eyes. Good portrait work.

your brother was wrong on both counts. Must be nice to have this kind of talent.

You are very talented, Emily, and I am sure your brother has known that for many years.

Thanks guys. ha. well... my brother definitely thinks I'm something talented. This talent.. well. I believe art is in my family, just started drawing then painting one day. spent years just doing pen ink tattoo work before i decided to put something on paper.
Thanks for posting the original eubeen (i did not like how the artist painted her hand -she clearly wanted a glove and red finger nails).

thank you very much Rob. art is all about perception though, but i appreciate your words. makes me feel good i never went to art school or was 'taught' how to draw.

I admire anyone who can put to canvas an image such as this. After stick figures, my drawing skills fall off significantly. I think Goya would be pleased with your interpretation of his work. Thad

I believe Goya was being a little flattering of Doņa Isabel by improving her maja. I am sure Goya had to use his imagination a little also. I believe you have depicted her personage very well in a more realistic light. Keep painting….

really really awesome job , no matter what , it doesn't really matter it is a reproduction of a famous artist it only illustrates the talent that you have to see and render an impression that is what art is all about.......

The eyes give away your talent. You have seen deeply into the photo. Good job.
