Swallow dark, a glow, a spirited eminence

and subtle pride, splitting you in two, choose forever chaos or freedom-

wrapped, soaked in mud, fall. take your eyes and lie

to nothing: you are my everything and instrument to fail, I disintegrate.

alas to my everything, shout to no one, a falcon yell to deaf mind.

trapped: to my, capture, clandestine and loving, volition to enter a wager

fixed, spread over your mouth, a perfection settled through cries, and beauty,

spend your body and trade with the advocate of fettered wisdom. disintegrate,

mud turned into dust, spread over plain sight.

A lot of character in that face. Nice details in your sketch and an interesting bit of verse. Thanks for sharing.

He looks transfixed by both time and verse.

You sure have eloquence with words! He may have lost his shirt but he still looks like he kept his pride intact! you can see it in his face. He looks worn but still very much alive. Great job on this charcoal!
