New Brighton Promenade at the end of The Wirral Peninsular, opposite Liverpool, was busy to-day as the sun was shining and it was relatively warm. The swans on the boating lake just wanted to sleep. This is a cygnet catching some zzzz's.

What a special photo!! It looks so sweet and gentle and quiet. I don't blame them for wanting sleep. I love how they tuck their head in their feathers. And isn't it ironic that we tuck our heads into feather pillows? heehee..thank you for a most lovely photo. I love the colours !!Verena

excellent focus Steve - you can see every feather! a lovely shot of this signet! It always makes me smile to see one that has made it to the following year. My office is next to a Mere and every year I see young swans that never make it to the next year!

I just hate dirty cutlery !! A mistreated dog should try to leave a deposit on their masters best carpet, after all it's important to establish who's boss ... My gallery is here.
