This is The Mere in Ellesmere, Shropshire. This is the largest of 9 meres caused by the Ice Age in the area. Taken in August.

Great work on the pano Steve. It is a lovely scene and has an air of mysteriousness with the shadows falling towards each other ! I see that as a bonus :)

Beautiful blue lake in between. Good you included that it was taken in the summer. Otherwise I might have become furious with envy ! LOL Here we have a wet and not too cold spell... But bleak, gloomy and dreary.
