I just came back from a trip to Xinjiang, China. We spent a little more than a week there and saw a huge variety of scenery ranging from deserts to grasslands to mountains. It was a really spectacular trip. This is a panorama of a grassland in the middle of Tian Shan ("Sky Mountain") I wasn't too sure about what to do with the background...any suggestions/comments are welcome.

I think what you did with the background is quite imaginative. It caught my eye as soon as I looked across the sheet of proofs. The sweeping road (?) that bisects the image draws the viewer in and directs us to the left where the hills march down to the plain. I admire your creativity.

I also love what you have done with the background! This is a lovely image, very nice composition. The background sets it off perfectly.

I like what you have done here. They say Blue and Green should never be seen. Who ever said that should look at this? I also have a comparable panorama shot if you would like to see how I interpreted my piece. Go to As The Camera Saw It

Thanks everyone for your kind comments! I'm glad you like the background. Regmar, the "sweeping road" is actually a river.
