It was a golden opportunity seized. I agree with Les on his analysis but the soft focus gives it a dreamy effect as well. Apples and Oranges.

I like this shot - showing the paw and tail! The colour on the basket is nice. Only thing it is slightly tilted but that doesn't matter much.

Caveats?
Straighten things a tad, and since I am not sure I will ask ... tripod used?
Most likely not, I would think. However, you could employ the self-timer function/option of your camera (set it on something stable ... a few books, box, whatever or whichever).
As presented to us?
A tad soft on the focus, which, could be due to some camera movement.
Not trying to be harsh in my words above, just that of offering some suggestions towards improvement. As I do believe and reiterating, you did indeed capture a 'moment' here well worth displaying.
Got a smile out of me, so ... mission accomplished. :o)
