Wasco Oregon was settled at one of the important crossroads of the Oregon Trail. What a better place to build a mercantile to sell an array of merchandise to the new settlers. This old place was built in 1875 but like most old places went into disrepair. It was bought in 1998 as a fixer upper but while working on the inside noticed that some of the old tenants died but never left the building. Now it just sits empty. Hope you enjoy

A great shot Paul and I really like the angle! The old place has some wonderful colors and a nice soft glow, as well as some interesting history. A little spooky, even during the day. Are you telling us this place is haunted?!

You would think the home inspection would have turned up the former residents. Little wonder they went out of business with such an exclusive clientele. You would think they'd allow the enlisted men to shop there as well. I imagine the place is chock full of old brass.

A good angle in the capture Paul. Nice clarity, colours and textures in the photo. A great looking old shop.

I do agree with the others, the angle of this shot is very good, and your editing here is top notch, I'm glad it's still standing, it would be nice to see someone put it back into some use.

Great find and shot, Paul . I love old buildings like this and certainly hope someone will restore it regardless to the tenants that "refuse to leave", so to speak . Great angle and postwork.
Nicely done !
