As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment.

It seems to me that if you or I must choose between two courses of thought or action, we should remember our dying and try so to live that our death brings no pleasure on the world.

Men do change, and change comes like a little wind that ruffles the curtains at dawn, and it comes like the stealthy perfume of wildflowers hidden in the grass.

This I believe: That the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual.

~all quotes are from John Steinbeck

Fractalius images are just as much fun to create as Ortons, aren't they? This is an outstanding one, John. Hansel and Gretel would certainly get lost in there. Very nice work.

Now THIS is awesome. SO very unique. SO mezmerizing. I love how this feels, soft yet dramatic. I wish I could paint this, but can't imagine doing so. In this photo I really like the effect, and of course, as per usual, the quotes you added are so fitting. Thank you ever so much for something so different. I really like the way the whole scene is almost stroked with all the overlaying lines. Nice!!! Verena

This looks like an enchanted forest John. One of your best works. Those strands which make up this image look like strands of wool, but the effect they have and colours you have chosen are wonderful. Fav'd and thankyou for sharing!

Hi John, really beautiful, although most of the time I don't like too much "button" creativity with PS, I really like this. Compliments. EvK

Your forest seems like pure energy... if you listen you can hear the grass shushing and the trees groaning and their leaves making silver laughter...

I love the quotes... Steinbeck was an early influence on my writing and poetry.
