…there was already something in his gaze beyond the capacity of any ape. In those dark, deep‐set eyes was a dawning awareness ‐ the first intimations of an intelligence that could not possibly fulfill itself for ages yet, and might soon be extinguished forever.
Arthur Charles Clarke, 2001: A Space Odyssey

They had learned to speak, and so had won their first great victory over Time. Now the knowledge of one generation could be handed on to the next, so that each age could profit from those that had gone before.
Arthur Charles Clarke, 2001: A Space Odyssey

Without those weapons, often though he had used them against himself, Man would never have conquered his world. Into them he had put his heart and soul, and for ages they had served him well. But now, as long as they existed, he was living on borrowed time.
Arthur Charles Clarke, 2001: A Space Odyssey

John, I'm not known by Arthur C. Clarke's Space Odyssey series. Therefore I miss, as a layman in this matter, the essence of your quotes. For the same reason I can't give you an appropriate comment of your post either. However, I enjoy your render very much because of the graphical aspects.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
