This is another shot from the Barbados Wildlife Reserve. This was one of the best memories from the trip because this is when we got to feed the monkeys. We had been doing research on them for weeks but we were always told not to feed them because it would further domesticate them. This was one of our last days at the reserve so we were very persuasive and the director finally said yes! Two minutes after taking this shot, I was sitting on the ground about 5 feet away from this mother and her infant, I pulled out a banana, peeled it, and just simply handed it to the mother. These monkeys are amazing because they are wild yet at the same time they are so use to being around people that they'll just walk up to you and take food right out of your hands. Enjoy!

A nice capture of some quality family time. Nice clarity and details in your photo, Chris. I would have tried to get the monkey completely in the frame. A nice narrative as well, thanks for sharing.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson

I shot this one more as a portrait so I wasn't concerned with getting everything in the frame. I was mainly concerned with getting the facial expression of both the mother and infant. Thanks for commenting!!!

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

Nice job Chris. What a great moment to present itself when you're right there with your camera. Most times I don't get that lucky. Love the expression on the mother's face and, off course, am a sucker for baby animals.
