Another one of my captures from the Field Museum in Chicago of a female slave sculpture. What drew me to the piece was the angle of the arm with the modern, plaster stair railing in the background (dark diagonal). The posture of the piece to me was more intriguing than the facial features (sculptor seemed to struggle with the facial features) so the focus is definitely on the posture. The lighting was brilliant which I tried to capture in the image. Once again you use the lines to your advantage and take us on a photo learning journey Chris.
Did you add the vignetting in the background are was it due to the conditions in the museum? Almost looks like shadows.
Also can you share some setting once in a while?
Thanks
Enjoyed your other shots from the museum.

Great job of taking advantage of your surroundings for a great impact. The lighting lends to the allure of it all with all the shadow and light play in the sculpture. Very nice work Chris.

Thanks Guys! The vignetting was actually from the lighting in the museum. This is a closer up shot of that railing in the background. You can see the shadows on the wall behind the railing a lot clearer in The Glider which was taken further back.
