"In the history of the world, all five mass extinctions have been accompanied by massive climate change, so we are facing an incredibly serious threat. In fact, we are technically in the sixth mass extinction right now, and it is the first mass extinction being attributed to humans." - Cameron Russell 20mm, f/2.8, 1/200, ISO400 Luminar 4 -> Aurora HDR

"Say it ain't so Chris." Makes me think of the song "Eve of Destruction."
At first I thought it was a computerized image, but I see by the gallery it is a photo.
You have some serious editing skills.
I like that you used 6 o'clock to match the sixth mass extinction. AM or PM?
You image looks hot like the current global warming conditions.
You have forced us to look up so we can see what is coming.
Excellent composition.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.

This is quite an interesting image idea, Chris. If extinction is the outlook then preparation is the thing to do. I don't think I will worry too much either way. I'm taking one day at a time. Who knows what tomorrow may bring. Many of my friends and family have gone already. Very colorful image and a wonder about the bright reds, oranges, etc. in the sky. As always your images are very high definition.

Interesting and thought provoking. If it is 8 minutes away, there is not much we can do about it. We might as well watch the show. The oblivion seems to be coming from the stars. In that case, it does not seem attributed to humans.
