But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

Thanks for the comments, all. The photo was taken near Jenner, northwest of Sonoma. It's very dramatic, and there's a small fishing village right out of the movies - weathered and run down buildings, desolate, misty and lonely.

This is a very well-composed photograph. You have something to look at in the distance, the middle ground and the foreground. The rocks frame the scene and lead my eye up and out to the rest of the shot. The line of the breaking waves echoes the framing of the rocks and helps move my eye even more. The foreground has the plants and the curving line heading down to the bottom and sort of introduce the whole image. Then there's the fog and the different colors: orange-y browns, blue-grays and muted sea green. All in all, great work. Sorry I made this so long!

I love this photo! I absolutely love the NW coast, fog and all. This picture makes me feel as if I am right there. I can almost smell the salt air and feel the fog tickling my skin! A 10 from me!

This angle is intriguing, though almost haunting. Still, definitely a stunning shot :)
