Let me know what you think of this one. I liked the thought that this wood is just standing on its own after being beat on by the waves every day. I edited the coloring to highlight the beautiful water also.

I like the gradient trasition, and the boat on the top right. Maybe a hint of color in the foreground woulve been good, but it does add to the "old" feel. I see you're using the program I told you about. :)

The contrast between foreground and background is strong and the double angle of waterline and leaning post is also strong. I think the angles all push the eye up to the top section which increases the pop of those colours.
