Cornelius - A tranquil scene - one that is most enjoyable to view. Good use of the rule of thirds and of sweeping diagonal lines to create a balanced, appealing composition. Lighting from behind you shows the scene wonderfully.
As far as I'm concerned, you've done just about everything right on this shot. Too often I see the horizon dead center splitting the photo into two equal halves. The horizon line is well above center which allowed you to show more grasses in the foreground. Since the sky is a California vacant blue and adds no drama to the shot, you made a good choice of minimizing the sky.
The shot is interesting, well focused and has nice reflections of the boats, and I'm a sucker for a good reflection. My only qualm is that distant bunch of trees to the right of the cabin. From here it looks like you might have smoothed out the tops of the trees with some cloning.
