Here's the river itself. The inset is a picture of the river at a normal stage. When the main photo was taken, it was at about 24 feet. Flood stage is 12 feet, and the previous record was 21 feet in 1993. It crested at 26 feet last Wednesday morning. Holy crap. More information here.

That's really something. I thought at first it was just a causeway or some real low bridge. I hope you don't get any more rain....or tornadoes, anywhere around there. Thanks for sharing the pictures, and the info.

That River,has some power. I like the insert,showing how much the rivers water,had risen,Great Shot.

This is a good shot Jake. The floods are devastating in Iowa and are about to get worse down river. Great post. I like how you put the normal level in smaller pix. Good work.
