One of the first building to be restored following the reunification of Germany was the Dresden Castle.
This photo is a conversion project restoration.
Don, Sie haben dass 'Wunderschön' gemacht! Beautiful architecture captured (and converted!) very well. Thanks for the effort and this image!

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)

"The more we come in contact with animals, and observe their behaviour, the more we love them, for we see how great is their care for their young." - philosopher Immanuel Kant
I was in Dresden - somewhere around 1977 or 76 in my high school ... Dark, dreary and gloomy communist times in DDR but I was young and beautiful then !!! LOL
Have not seen this place at that time - at least do not remember .. In fact I hardly recollect anything else but some paintings by Lucas Cranach which changed me and my way of seeing the world forever from then on.
Thanks very much, dear friend, but have you noticed that these days the most beautiful things one sees are those which are at the same time nostalgic ...?
LOL
