Beautiful in the fall. It must have been a rather warm day for swimming. Not as quiet either as in Thoreau's day I would imagine.

It's a very lovely photo and I can't help but think how far away from civilization he was at the time and how close it all is now. Even the guy in the water looks as though he's talking on a cell phone!

Absolutely beautiful colours Don ! Beautiful peaceful feeling about it. I imagine Thoreaus pond was much smaller and personal, but this photo of your certainly is wonderful. I'd love to be there for a day or more..You got a perfect shot. I like that you incorporated the people..but I think I would almost like it better without them..heehee...I'm a bigtime hermit..Verena
