River South Tyne and North Tyne meet at the village of Fourstones Hexhamshire,Before the Kielder dam was constructed the two rivers during heavy rain would cause heavy flooding the river rising up to 16 ft above normal,In 1978 i was working on a bridge on the hexham bypass when a flash flood swept it away luckily this happened before i turned in for work,Dead livestock, trees and all kinds of debri were swept along even 2 two man canoes one of the canoeists breaking several bones that was some sight to behold and one which will never be repeated..Richie.
Strong image - strong because the colours are strong, the river seems to have a strong flow and the trees on the bank look strong and attract the viewer's attention right away. Very good, Don.
This looks like a wonderful spot you found. That river sure looks fast and you have caught the lushness of the greenery either side of the river really well. Brilliant work!

Hey, EJ stole my line LOL. I really like how you captured the strength of the flow of water in this. The tree and the log really anchor this well. Good work!
im with lyn , i was thinking Dallas too , heheh. now im singing that stupid tune in my head, doh! cool shot though, the water does look strong and i love the colours too.
Hello Don, see that you were operating in Owd Bob's territory lol.
You've created a wonderful composition with that old trunk and the vivid colours of a fast streaming Tyne. Well done.
Regards, Cornelius
PS: would change the gallery you've put in this image as it's not a computer created image.
