A gentle drizzle muted all the colors as the low, thick clouds clung to the sides of the mountain. The Hubbard Glacier travels about 7 feet per day on its trek from Canada to Disenchantment Bay. The dark striations are composed of powdered rock produced as the fifteen mile long glacier ground its way to the mouth of the Nanutak Fjord.

Not a sight many of us will ever get to see in person...the location, unusual colorings, and the seeming quiet and emptiness give this an 'other worldly' look and feel...a lovely capture...thanks for sharing it with us...favs.

In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~

I can smell the sunlight on your skin. Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Very impressive shot Don. That glacier and the black rock formation behind it look great.
