This is a view of the coast of St. Thomas in the Caribbean. It's a breeze to visit this tourist destination today but passing by this old fort reminds one that there were days when a visitor would have a cannon leveled at him and any misconstrued move would result in having one's head blown clean off. Today the objective is not to preserve one's head, rather one's wallet.

I have a feeling, Ed, that we're going to be seeing lots and lots of glorious pictures from you. This one's a beauty. I remember when my main comments on your shots were that they were right leaning. I can't bitch about that with that perfect horizon.

Love the detail, the colors, the composition. The shot seems a little heavy on the right. I might have shifted the shot about 1% to the left (that's port in shipping lingo).
