All I can say is wow! Looks very professional. Black&white at its best. High contrast between the blown out highlights and the dark(er) eyes and lips really brings out the interesing parts. Great work!

WOW!!! I love the black and white, that has always been my favorite thing to use on my pictures. You are very beautiful and your eyes are gorgeous! :) I just got a new camera for Christmas so I'm going to be uploading a lot more soon, please stop by my gallery if you like! Keep up the nice work! :)
I like the fact that this picture is very beautiful and eye catching, without being revealing or risque as many of the portraits young women have done on here are. That in and of itself shows talent.
The only prob I see is that the skin of the face seems blown out and extremely bright, without many shadows or texture. If you could darken it down a bit, get some texture in there, and a little shape to come out, that would be awesome.
But great job!!
Caiden.
P.S. If you could take a look at my gallery, it would be greatly appreciated. Any comments, critiques, or advice would be welcome! Have a great day!
Hi Kimmy
Very nice self portrait you are pretty indeed. However the photogragh is overexposed due to the mixed lighting, can u see it ? U could compensate for this by altering the apeture, or shutter timing. Or better still aviod shadows !!
Also use a lighter background, and that will expose your dark hair properly.
Please try it once more as u are so pretty we all deserve another gander.
First time I download a self portait. Amazing picture and I think the overexposure is meant to, the opposite would have change the stylish way of focusing through contrast on the expressive parts. I also like the model. Thank you Kimmy.
I think I agree with LaFontaine on this. The image is quite professional. It's difficult to separate my critique of the subject from my critique of the image, but I'm trying. The pose is very good. The lighting and exposure look excellent, and of course the subject is well-chosen. It's sad that only the young and attractive can produce well-rated self-portraits. Did it take you a lot of tries to get this right?
