Clogs are the original work safety boot. They have been officially accredited as safety shoes and can withstand almost any penetration including sharp objects and/or concentrated acids. The clog on the left has already been formed and acts as the pattern for the clog on the right which is created from a solid piece of wood.

I also like clogs but I have never tried the wooden ones. Very interesting picture and one I enjoyed viewing very much!

This is unusual and rather fascinating. I wonder how they were made before the use of such machines. Now I'll have to go take a sharp look at the two pair I possess (handed down in the family for a couple generations) to see if I can determine whether or not they were made with this method.
I like the overall red/orange tones here...quite in keeping with the work being done! Did you get yourself a pair?
