Cesky Krumlov is a small medieval city in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Construction of the city began in the 14th century. It lies on the Vltava River, also known as The Moldau. The best-known of the classical Czech composer Bedřich Smetana's works is called Vltava (or The Moldau), and is a musical depiction of the river's course through Bohemia. The photo was taken from the castle above the city.

Very pretty shot, Frank. The beauty of Europe captured perfectly. YouTube has quite a few videos with that music. Very nice.

What a beautiful shot Frank and of course The Moldau is one of my favorite pieces of classical music particularly the version with George Szell and the Cleveland Philharmonic. Since he was from the area he seemed in tune with that piece of music. Very charming and picturesque shot.

Really fabulous view Frank. That middle-European architecture is delightful.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson
