Cesky Krumlov is a small medieval city in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Construction of the city began in the 14th century. It lies on the Vltava River,also known as The Moldau. The best-known of the classical Czech composer Bedřich Smetana's works is called Vltava (or The Moldau), and is a musical depiction of the river's course through Bohemia.
