A sure sign the weather is warming up - spotted this red bellied black snake sunning on some bromeliads in my garden. Although venemous, they are very shy and will only attack if provoked.

I will definitely NOT poke this snake with a stick!! Excellent shot, Frank.

Would they consider an axe provoking, Frank?
Good shot.

My goodness, if I saw this I would have been running in the opposite direction!! ha ha This is a great capture of this snake and I like how you can almost see every scale of its skin too. Well done!

Excellent capture and detail, I love snakes just so long they aren't poisonous

Supberb detail and the sunlight gives a real sheen to its skin.
It would scare the daylights out of me if I saw it in reality however.
Fine photo !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
