Londonderry is the last remaining completely walled city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of a Walled City in Europe. The Walls were built during the period 1613-1618 as defences for early seventeenth century settlers from England and Scotland.

Frank, I had the intention to S+F your image, but when I clicked on the thumbnail size version in order to view it on full screen size, its size was unchanged but the vision of it was masked/troubled by a gray overlay however.
I did several attempts but the outcome was the same, while other images of your gallery don't show this problem.
That's really a pity, because it's not only a fine image, but for me a reminder for what I saw during my stay in Derry about 1969 - 1970.

I'm curious whether other friends have the same experience or not.

Frank, I did not have any problem when viewing this lovely image of yours, so perhaps what happened to Mr. C. was a glitch that was fixed. tigs=^..^=

I had the same trouble as Mr C, but I did the trick that Les mentioned once about right-clicking and opening the image in a new window and it worked great! Wonderful image.
