This wasp as well as the other insect were using these leaves as an umbrella from the rain showers we had yesterday at my home. First time I have ever seen anything like this and feel so lucky to have been able to photograph this. Hope you enjoy it- Eileen

A great close-up... I really like the detail. I am not especially fond of bees & wasps, but this looks super great on the desktop. Well done, Eileen.

That's a fantastic photo, Eileen. I am just glad it isn't really real because I am so phobic about wasps' stings!

Great close up, Eileen. This goes to show that all nature's creatures take a little time out when caught in the rain! This shot is great technically; nice job with the focus and exposure. - Dave

btw: thanks for all the nice comments on my submissions recently; much appreciated!! - D

They sure are smart to use the leaves as an unbrella.....Watch out for those wasps though as they sting and it hurts alot.

It a superb photograph has become of your wasp. Yes hide for a shower is
