This was taken inside a museum near Camden. I think they captured the look of yesteryear pretty well except for the lamp of course. I wish I had walls like this in my home. They're so rustic looking. Not my usual kind of post I know, but I just wanted to share this with you. Hope you enjoy.

The title is so appropriate for this, Eileen. Such a soothing and uncomplicated bedroom. Being a quilter, I was looking very closely at those on the bed and that old sewing machine is like one of mine. Hmm - maybe I'm living in yesteryear? LOL I'm so glad you shared this!

I'm all for going back to simpler times -- I'd even wash in that wonderful bowl with the pitcher in it. A very pleasing atmosphere is exuded from your post Eileen and it leaves one (me) in a very calm state. Thanks for sharing yesteryear.

This is lovely Eileen & they did capture the look of yesteryear so well. The old Singer sewing machine caught my eye immediately ... my Grandma had one like it & she was a wonderful seamstress. I used to watch her sew when I was young. Simple & pleasant on the desktop. Such an excellent capture & thanks for bringing back to me some fond memories.

Hey, I remember my grandmother having a sewing machine just like that. I liked making the treadle (sp?) go back and forth with your feet. Thanks for the memories, Eileen.

I like it. It captures the era rather well. Decorating in this style has some appeal but I’d rather watch Jerry do a taste test :-)
