There's just something about this little house I couldn't resist taking a photo of.It's situated right by the RR tracks as you can see and I imagine every window in the house rattles when the train goes by.I just thought it was adorable with the chairs on the porch and the dog taking a nap. I can only imagine the conversations that have taken place on this little porch between friends and family with the dog lying there quietly listening in.I do hope you enjoy and I thank you for viewing and taking the time to comment if you wish.

Yikes! I do not think I'd sleep too sound that close to the tracks! It is quaint and a very unusual setting, isn't it? You have a great eye for charm!

You know Eileen...when I first saw this I thought it was of our very own Cricket Pavilions!....it looks so much like them!....all over our towns and villages....as you know cricket is our very own English sport!.....and the little houses/huts/sheds are named pavilions......Little beauties just as this is!...very picturesque!....But, I dont relish being beside that RR for long..............lovely post!

Yeah, I can imagine exactly what conversations took place in that little house, maybe something like this: (after train passes) "Well Maw, let's git at it. You move the couch back in place and bring the easy chairs back in from the kitchen. Pull them cats down from off the ceiling and somebody go clean up the dog. He got blowed into the fireplace again." Yeah, somthing like that...That's TOO CLOSE to them thar tracks for this gal.

Oh my, you mean someone actually lives there all the time? I love Pat Andre's synopsis of what happens every time the train runs by.

At least there's no front lawn to mow, yet, stumbling home drunk might not be a good idea as you could pass out right on the track. 8~O

Saw this in the VB the other day Eileen. Got sidetracked never got to see the posting page. I'm glad I found it because I liked this charming little house set among the treeline. Thought it was a really nice composition. Never noticed the RR tracks. The proximity of the tracks in noway harm the image nor my opinion of your photography ... but they do make that little house a tad less charming. Going out for the mail or the morning paper might be a daily adventure I could live without.

great shot, i love that the house isn't centered, and all that green brings out the blue, lovely.
