One of the many Camellias that were blooming at Swan Lake in Sumter last Sunday when the temps were in the 70's and felt like Spring instead of Winter. Quite a difference now with a few nights of frost since this was taken. Thanks so much for your views and comments everyone. They're most appreciated!

It's a beauty for sure Eileen! You've done a great job capturing it too. The clarity is outstanding, and the blurred background is just right not to distract from the flower. Wish I could be seeing some of those blooming around here, but I'd have to look in a green house to find one! LOL Nicely done Ms. Foofoo! C):-)

Very nice! What did you do to the background? Did your camera do that, or is this some of your post capture magic? :)

Captivating and colorful camellia Eileen!! Was this possibly a scanned image, as I seeing some banding in the upper right quadrant and some pixelizations on the flora as well as the background...just curious. Bold 'n' beautiful blossom!!

I could reach right into my monitor and pick her! She is so beautiful and such a wonderful color. Those leaves are so shiny. You are so fortunate to have anything like these blooming now!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
