This is a picture I took of a holly tree in my backyard one morning after it had been snowing. It was my first attempt at artistic photography. Hope you enjoy it!
Nice seasonal colors and the snow is a definite plus. Because you indicated it was your first artistic attempt, I'll suggest the following. The berries are numerous and in all parts of the frame. They are dominant and it causes the eye to be bouncing from one to another red section continuously. This tends to reduce impact for the overall work.
Cropping it much tighter will give you more impact and include the entire composition.
Specifically, 1. Down from the top to the edge of the snow in the left quadrant. 2. In from the right side to the end of the leaf with much snow (near the center) 3. Up from the bottom, almost 1/3rd of the way to just below the two large leaves that have most of the snow on them.
You'll find that subsequently most of your berries lay in a diagonal path in some direction and that your viewing will be more intense but not chaotic and bouncing in many directions.
